April 22, 2010

I absolutely love books and love to read. I’ve even written a few books myself, two commercially published and one self published. The problem with books though is they add up. They slowly but surely start to take over all available spaces if you are an avid reader like me. What to do about this?

First, sort your books! I have my books I like to keep handy at all times such as reference books and others I regularly consult. I have those in a bookcase next to my desk, with usually a some are on my desk at all times.

And I have books in the "read pile. I like nice on a shelf near the bed, because I often suffered in bed reading, and often carry the current book I read with me. It's amazing how you can get more done during the time free and some books lend themselves to this approach.

Do you have any book you necessarily need or want? They may be completely out of date and old books on technology, the books have wonDo not hang or similar? I donate a couple of these that I have recovered or are unnecessary, just 10 years of books on various computer programs.

Most books fall into the category "read, but red." I like most of my books, like most people. The rule in this way or another for me to make sense, and then save them.
